Transforming Paint Card Samples into Lovely Scrapbook Page Embellishments!

Creating something amazing out of ordinary or sometimes even free stuff can be an awesome way to bring your scrapbooking design to the next level!

In this tip, I am going to show you how to turn paint cards into pretty embellishments for your own scrapbook page!

Step 1

All you need are the paint sample cards that you usually get from hardware stores for free and a puncher with a design that you love. Let's begin our awesome layout!

Step 2

First, tear your choice of paint card apart then stick it to your puncher as seen below. As you can see, I chose this lovely pink color because who doesn't love pink anyway?

Just a tip, make sure that your card covers exactly where you want the punch to go so that you'll get that perfect design that you want.

It just looks so pretty! You can even layer them up, put them off center and curl up the wings to create a realistic effect.

Step 3

You can even decorate your page with these butterflies, put them on different areas, and you can even alternate them- creating a fabulous effect! Just look at how cool the transformation is!

Step 4

This is a page that I am currently working on. You can see that I added my butterfly embellishments and look how they fit beautifully on my design!

Using a paint card like this is lovely to use since it has a gradient tone and you won't have to worry about color coordination for your design! Wonderful idea isn't it?
